Six additional sponsors were found to fund eleven scholarships for winter semester.

“I’d like to expressly thank the sponsors for their commitment and backing of the university and its students. It enables us to continue supporting high-achieving and dedicated students in their education,” says the rector.

Among the new sponsors ist Deutsche Landwirtschaftsgesellschaft which is supporting university students through five scholarships. Anja Göbel, who is studying musicology at Halle’s university and is herself a Germany Scholarship holder since winter semester 2012/13, provided the musical entertainment. After the ceremony many sponsors and scholarship recipients took the opportunity to get to know one another at the reception in the dining hall at the Francke Foundations.
